Abortion is Doomed by a Higher Law

It was William Seward, the United States secretary of state under Abraham Lincoln, who said that slavery was doomed by a “higher law than the Constitution, the law of God.”  Seward understood that slavery would fail because of the law of God opposing slavery based on race.  Clearly racism was a sin and God would end the awful, destructive practice of slavery of the African race.

We modern abolitionists of abortion believe the same.  Our war is not a war against a law.  Our war is not a war against our culture.  Our war is against murder.  God will dispose abortion because abortion violates not the laws of the United States of America or the laws of New Zealand or the laws of China but the law of God.  Murder is not just and abortion is nothing more than murder (Exodus 20:13).

Let it be known that we modern abolitionists of abortion desire to fight abortion with the same passion the abolitionists fought against slavery before the American Civil War.  We believe that all people: black, red, white, yellow, etc. deserve the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  We believe that every person including the handicapped are made in the image of God and are precious in His sight.  We believe that abortion is nothing more than the murder of unborn people and should be completely abolished in all forms.

We Knew This Was Coming

As part of election platform, Barack Obama had promised to not only defend the pro-murder movement but to do all in his power to help it. While liberals and “postmodern Christians” were defending Obama saying that he would help to limit abortion and wants to see it reduced, his actions are moving in the opposite direction. We who defend the right of the unborn child knew that Obama was a liberal who would not do this but would do all in his power to solidify the Democrats hold on to power by helping the pro-murder movement which gives millions of dollars to support their causes and candidates.

As we passed the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, let us pray for Obama to repent and become a disciple and embrace the right to life that God has given and we are not to take away.

Great Piece From Al Mohler on Abortion

Here is a great piece written by Dr. Albert Mohler on abortion and how several prominent Democrats once held to pro-life positions before the power of politics and money lured them to the dark side. It is an interesting piece worth reading. You can find it here.

Obama’s Radical Abortion Stance

Dr. Robert George has written an excellent piece on Senator Barack Obama’s radical position on abortion. George argues in fact that Obama is the most extreme abortion supporter that has ever ran as a serious contender for the office of President of the United States. President Clinton will seem rather soft on abortion in comparison to Senator Obama. Why people in the Church continue to support Obama for President is beyond me.

Abortion is Murder

Recently someone e-mailed me and said, “Abortion is not the only issue involved with the 2008 Presidential race and yet you evangelicals want to make abortion the entire issue when it comes to politics.” Allow me briefly to respond.

1. I try to avoid politics but I am pro-life and that does effect how I vote. I don’t care about parties. I vote pro-life period. I admit that freely.

2. Abortion, unlike taxes or health care, is a moral issue. Nations have the right to wage war (Romans 13) and to tax but abortion on demand through federal monies or not is a moral issue. Do I believe it is a tragedy that thousands have died in Iraq? Of course but they have made the moral choice to go into the military to serve the United States and its agenda. However, an unborn has no say to its death. It has no vote. It has no voice to fight for its life. It is simply murdered because of convenience.

3. I believe the ultimate purpose of the Church is to preach the gospel and not to be involved with politics per se. I don’t always agree with James Dobson or Pat Robertson for their involvement with politics and I believe that we should leave this earth seeking to make disciples more than government policies (Matthew 28:19-20). Our citizenship is not here in America but is in heaven (Philippians 3:20-21). However, abortion runs contrary to the right to life. I don’t want any person to be aborted period. I want them to have the freedom of life and to become a disciple of Jesus and experience true life (John 10:10).

Here is a link to a recent speech given by Democratic nominee Barak Obama at a Planned Parenthood rally for him. Hillary Clinton also spoke at the event. Obama makes it quite clear that he is pro-murder/choice and that he supports nominating Court judges who are pro-murder and he wants to expand government involvement in promoting safe-sex (?) and abortion on demand especially for the poor.

May we pray for God to bring a spirit of life to our nation. Pray for women struggling with a new found pregnancy and that He would show them the beauty of having a child and that no child should be punished for the sins of their parents.
